TN Valley Regional Director

I previously worked for DCS for 40 years and was the regional administrator for 20 years.I worked in all the program areas as a front line worker and as a team leader for foster care and adoption. Later I was the TC over all program areas and then of course as the RA, I was responsible for all programs and staff in my region. I am also an adoptive parent and was a relative placement. 

I have been a member of TFACA for many years.. The first regional conference that I attended many many years ago was held at the 4H camp in Crossville Tn. We sure have come a long way since then by next moving the conference to college campuses and now to wonderful hotels. I was selected worker of the year by TFACA on two occasions and was honored as the regional administrator of the year 9 different years. I have always had a heart for working with foster parents and children. Even as an RA,  I attended local foster parent association meetings and foster parent training sessions., 

I currently am Vice President for Family Resource Agency Board of Directors.

I am on two foster care review boards.

I am on the board of directors for my church's Homeless Ministry. I also pack meals for the homeless and deliver meals twice a week.

I work in the Food Pantry at my church. 

I would like to help foster parents in any way that I can. I do feel that local associations are a very valuable resource and support for foster parents. The local associations across the state working with the state association can help make changes and improvements in services for children and foster parents. 

I would like for the local associations to grow this next year in my region  and at the state level, I will do whatever I can do to assist with this.
